Community investment
We’re committed to providing better broadband access for everyone, to help communities stay connected with friends and family, and continue to explore new opportunities online.
We’re building the fastest full-fibre service in the UK and we’re busy connecting communities across the Highlands, Lothians, Stirlingshire & Fife.
But we also do a bit more than just that…

Local people, local jobs
Whenever we can, we’ll employ local people, investing in training when needed. We invest millions into each community we bring full-fibre connectivity to – helping to level up our rural towns and villages, getting us ready for whatever digital technologies throw at us now and in the future.
We’re supported by the Scottish National Investment Bank who share the same levelling up values we have making it a perfect partnership.
Free 900Mbps for your community hubs
We know that community hubs serve a major community purpose, and that’s why we work with the local community councils and other organisations to provide free 900Mbps full-fibre.

Our community initiative fund
On top of free connectivity in community hubs, we’re supporting our communities and a range of local groups from sports clubs (the Gifford Goblins and Alness Utd FC are our first two) to Christmas lights and everything in between!
We offer this support to the communities where we’re rolling out our lightning-fast, full-fibre network, supporting valuable community initiatives that sometimes struggle.
The scope is broad, but we’re focusing on small scale niche projects that make a local difference.
Growing your funds using our affiliate fund
We also offer a community affiliate program, and it’s super simple. For every person you recommend who takes the service through your affiliate code, we’ll pay you when they’re up and running with our lightning-fast full-fibre service.

Frequently asked questions
Anyone who needs support in the communities where we’ll be or have built our networks. Whether that’s a town or parish council, a formally constituted group/community group/association, social enterprises, clubs and societies… we’ll look at everything.
Grants of up to £250 will be awarded, sometimes a little more if this is needed.
We do have to limit ourselves. It’s usually limited to one per community, but we’re always open to a conversation.
Anything that makes a difference to the communities we’re delivering to. You’ll know best what’s needed in your community, and we welcome applications to support different members of the community.
Really anything which is commercial, or self-funded. Generally, if the request isn’t for initiatives that provide opportunities for learning, development, community engagement and/or sustainability, then we probably can’t consider it.
